STRIKE
Strike called by different political parties is very common in eastern Indian city Kolkata. Strikes called for different causes like price hike of different important commodities, against injustice, international issues and others. Normally strike called for 12 hours to 24 hours. During this period all government and private offices, school & colleges are closed, all types of transportations are stooped and protest rallies are organized by the political parties. Sometimes Government use polices force to stop the unwanted violence. According to Strikers, strike is the voice of protest against injustice at the same time Government fasces huge amount of financial loss and the life of common people disturbed in different ways due to the strike.
