GANGASAGAR 
This festival is held once in every year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, an auspicious day in the Hindu Calendar. Nearly, 500000 pilgrims from all over India visit the Sagar Island to take the Holy dip at the confluence of the River Ganga and the Bay of Bengal.
